Frequently Asked Questions
What will Mycoff Fry Partners do after receiving my resume?
Mycoff Fry Partners will contact you by phone or email to confirm receipt of your resume. In cases where your background is a fit for an ongoing search assignment, we will contact you to discuss the matching opportunity in more detail. In cases where an individual’s qualifications or background does not fit our business focus (utility-related positions), we do our best to notify that individual that we are not likely to be a useful resource for their job search.
How does Mycoff Fry Partners communicate with candidates throughout a search process?
We keep candidates updated regularly as search, selection, and interview processes proceed. We also take care to notify unsuccessful applicants appropriately. Certain searches may dictate that we communicate via email due to a large number of applicants. This occurs more often with broadly advertised searches.
Is Mycoff Fry Partners a contingency recruiting firm?
No, we only conduct retained search services for our clients, which allows us to dedicate our full resources to identify and vet qualified individuals with specific qualifications and experience.
How often do you contact individuals in your database?
The frequency of our outreach varies based on the positions we’re actively recruiting for, as well as a candidate’s location and compensation preferences. On average, we reach out one to three times per year. There may be longer periods in between contact, as we focus on making contact only when we have opportunities that align well with a candidate’s background and career goals.
Does Mycoff Fry Partners recruit for mid-management or individual contributor positions?
Most of our search assignments span the top three tiers of a typical utility’s organizational chart. While we specialize in the executive ranks, we may have appropriate contacts and resources to conduct other senior level roles. We encourage you to outreach to one of our employees from our Biographies page to get more information about our ability to meet your recruitment needs.

Will Mycoff Fry Partners charge a fee to potential candidates?

Does Mycoff Fry Partners accept un-solicited resumes?

We encourage potential job seekers to send us updated credentials at any time by clicking on one of our team member’s email addresses, or by sending it to our corporate email account.
